Acceptable Use Policy

Starhive AB (“Starhive”, “we” or “us”) is working hard to keep its products and services (“Products”) running smoothly and without distraction. It is therefore important that you only use our Products as intended and do not misuse or abuse our Products.
The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy is to help you understand what we mean by misuse and abuse. This Acceptable Use Policy is drafted on a descriptive basis but is not meant to be exhaustive in nature, which means that we reserve the right to take actions on use or activities that we deem to be inconsistent with the spirit of this Acceptable Use Policy even if not forbidden by the letter.
Consequently, if we discover any misuse or abuse that violates, or is inconsistent with its spirit of, this Acceptable Use Policy we reserve the right, without any notice or liability and at our sole discretion, to (i) remove content and/or (ii) permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend a user’s account or access to the Products. We also reserve the right to enforce other remedies that are available to us.
Below is a (non-exhaustive) list of things we do not allow:
Providing inappropriate content
Posting, uploading, sharing, submitting or otherwise providing Content that:
- contains viruses, bots, worms, scripting exploits or other similar harmful (or potentially harmful) materials;
- infringes ours or any third party’s intellectual property rights, including but not limited to any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, etc.;
- is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harmful to minors, pornographic, indecent, harassing, hateful, inflammatory or anything similar to the foregoing;
- attacks others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition;
- encourages illegal, reckless or otherwise inappropriate conduct; or
- could otherwise cause damage to us or any third party.
For the purpose hereof, the term “Content” means any information, data, text, code, scripts, sound, photos, graphics, videos, tags, interactive features or other materials that you post, upload, share, submit or otherwise provide in any manner to, or in connection with the Products or us.
Disruptive activities
- Disabling, modifying or compromising the integrity or performance of our Products or systems, which inter alia may include probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network that hosts our Products (except for security assessments expressly permitted by us);
- Reverse-engineering, hacking or tampering with our Products or systems, circumventing any security or authentication measures or attempting to gain unauthorized access to our Products, related systems, networks or data;
- Deciphering any transmissions to or from the servers running the Products;
- Imposing an unreasonably large load on our systems that consume extraordinary resources (CPUs, memory, disk space, bandwidth, etc.), which may include (i) using “robots”, “spiders”, “offline readers” or other automated systems to send more request messages to our servers than a human could reasonably send in the same period of time by using a normal browser, (ii) going far beyond the use parameters for any given Product as described in its corresponding documentation, or (iii) consuming an unreasonable amount of storage in a way that is unrelated to the purposes for which the Product were designed.
Wrongful activities
- Using our Products for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws (including without limitation data, privacy and export control laws);
- Using our Products to stalk, harass or provide threats of violence against others, or to violate the privacy of others;
- Misrepresentation of yourself or disguising the origin of any content (including by “spoofing”, “phishing” or other identifiers, impersonating anyone else;
- Accessing or searching any part of our Products by any means other than our publicly supported interfaces (for example, “scraping”);
- Using meta tags or any other “hidden text” including our or our suppliers’ product names or trademarks;
- Using our Products for the purpose of providing alerts on disaster scenarios or any other situations directly related to health or safety, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, natural disasters or emergency response.
Inappropriate communications
- Using the Products to generate or send unsolicited communications, advertising, chain letters, or spam;
- Soliciting our users for commercial purposes, unless expressly permitted by us;
- Disparaging us or our partners, vendors or affiliates;
- Promoting or advertising products or services other than your own without appropriate authorization.
