Use Starhive from Claude and other AI tools

Starhive's MCP server lets any AI tool that supports the Model Context Protocol ask Nova about your workspace, and have it make changes for you.

Use it from Claude, Claude Code, your editor's AI assistant, or an agent you build. It works with your own Starhive permissions.

What your AI tool can do.

  • 01

    Ask about your workspace

Questions about your data, types, spaces, sites and configuration, answered in plain language. Asking never changes anything.

  • 02

    Make changes when you ask

Create, change, move, comment on or delete records and docs. Before Nova changes or deletes existing records, it says what it's about to do and waits for your answer.

  • 03

Choose a workspace and an agent

Work in any Starhive workspace you're a member of, and talk to Nova or a custom Nova agent shared with you.

  • 04

    Follow up in context

Follow-up questions continue the same conversation. Long requests keep running, and you can stop one at any time.

Connect in three steps.

You stay in control.

Nova runs as you: your AI tool only sees and changes what your Starhive account can already see and change. Connecting it never gives it more access than you have.

Asking and changing are separate tools, so your AI tool can be allowed to ask freely and still check with you before every change.

Nova uses AI. Its answers can be wrong, so check important ones before you act on them.

FAQ

Questions about the MCP server.

Which AI tools work with it?

Any MCP client that connects to a remote server over Streamable HTTP and signs in through the browser with OAuth, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or a tool with a "connect a remote MCP server" screen. The setup guide has the exact steps for each.

Can I use a personal access token instead of signing in?

No. The MCP server only accepts browser sign-in, so your AI tool always works with your own Starhive account.

What if I'm in several Starhive workspaces?

Your AI tool can list your workspaces and use the one you name, for example "In my Acme workspace, …". You can also tie a connection to one workspace in its settings.

Do I need a Starhive account?

Yes, a Starhive account that's a member of at least one workspace. New to Starhive? Start a free trial.
