Can you tell me more about Starhive?

Most software companies start with a domain specific problem - IT asset tracking, project management, HR etc. They then try to expand beyond this but their underlying data structure usually can’t keep up and they end up with new capabilities that aren’t up to scratch.

At Starhive we did things differently, we built a completely flexible data structure first. The domain can be specified by you and the types of data you choose to store, the types of tickets you create, and the workflows you define. Want an IT help desk? Starhive can do it. Want a tool to help onboard new employees? Starhive can do that too.

Where do IT teams start with Starhive?

It really varies from business to business. IT professionals come to Starhive because they have a problem to solve. It could be a manual process they want to automate, data they want to make more accessible, or they want an ITSM solution. 

Because Starhive is so flexible, you can use it for almost anything your business needs. We find that often a business starts with one thing, such as tracking a certain set of assets or request management, and from there they keep using Starhive for future problems that come up.  

How hard is Starhive to learn?

Starhive is a powerful platform so there is a little time needed to learn terminology, how to setup your data model, and how to bring in data.  But we have lots of tutorial videos available to help you plus a whole team ready and waiting to answer your questions.

We believe anyone with a technical background should be able to get the fundamentals of Starhive within a day or two.
