Can you tell me more about Starhive?

Most software companies start with a domain specific problem - IT asset tracking, project management, HR etc. They then try to expand beyond this but their underlying data structure usually can’t keep up and they end up with new capabilities that aren’t up to scratch.

At Starhive we did things differently, we built a completely flexible data structure first. The domain can be specified by you and the types of data you choose to store, the types of tickets you create, and the workflows you define. Want an IT help desk? Starhive can do it. Want a tool to help onboard new employees? Starhive can do that too.

Where do organisations start with Starhive?

It really varies from business to business. People come to Starhive because they have a problem to solve. It could be a manual process they want to automate or data they want to make more accessible. 

Because Starhive is so flexible, you can use it for almost anything your enterprise needs. We find that often a business starts with one thing, such as managing a particular project, and from there they keep using Starhive for future problems that come up.  

How hard is Starhive to learn?

Starhive is a powerful platform so there is a little time needed to learn how to use it but we have lots of tutorial videos available to help you. Plus a whole team ready and waiting to answer your questions.

We believe anyone comfortable with IT in general should be able to build their first app in a day or two but it does depend on the complexity of the app.

For experienced Starhive users, they can usually create reasonably complex apps that are ready to go in an hour or two.
