# We took the Pledge to give back

We did it! We’ve taken the Pledge and joined the Pledge 1% movement to make giving back a part of our company’s DNA. We’re very excited to join the Pledge1 community and to donate our 1% profit, product and time to our community.

    ### 1% of time volunteering

Pledging 1% of time means that our employees can spend paid time on traditional hands-on and skill-based volunteering.

## Why do we do it?

"Giving back is part of our DNA at Starhive, so it was a no-brainer to join the pledge 1% movement. Calling out to my fellow entrepreneurs to follow our lead, if you haven’t already."

— Tommy Nordahl, CEO and co-founder of Starhive
